Pay: $43,680.00 – $54,080.00/Year based on Credentials and Experience

Seeking a self-directed and organized art therapist to provide art therapy in medical environments. This is a rare opportunity to provide true art therapy in a hospital-based setting while collaborating and learning from our team of over 10+ credentialed art therapists in our positive, supportive workplace.
Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, reliable transportation, working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Email and Calendar, Microsoft Teams, and navigating the internet. Demonstrated ability to implement programs and work well in a team-oriented environment. Must be able to work with a variety of ages, populations, and settings, including but not limited to adults and children with disabilities, people from all racial and ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, addiction treatment, people involved with the legal system, veterans, and active military, first responders, people with mental health diagnoses, elders, hospital-based settings, community-based settings, and school-based settings. Must be able to pass a drug test.
ATCB credentialed art therapist (ATR-P, ATR, ATR-BC, ATCS)
Plan and conduct art therapy sessions with individual patients being treated at the hospital, assess progress and set goals, work with the hospital staff (nurses, doctors, etc.) to refer patients for art therapy, work with a variety of populations and settings, collaborate with staff, maintain relationships with on-site contacts, complete paperwork, and develop and deliver presentations to promote art therapy. The position requires the employee to travel up to 60 miles from our office to reach the assigned sites. Paid travel time to and from sites is included in the 40-hour workweek. This position comprises 60% individual medical art therapy and 40% community-based group art therapy.
The employee may be required to sit, use their hands for grasping or handling objects, reach with their arms, and perform movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, while also being able to, themselves or through an interpreter, hear and communicate verbally. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The noise level varies, and the art therapist must be able to adapt to high and low noise environments.
Free art-based art therapy supervision, exposure to a wide range of populations, opportunities for group art therapy, paid team building parties/retreats, training and mentoring for advocating for art therapy in the community, no productivity requirements, and supplies provided with no out of pocket cost to art therapist.

Notes about the Selection Process
The interview process will include 2 rounds of interviews. If you are selected as a candidate, we will contact you via email to schedule your first interview. The first interview round will be with ATS’s Clinical Director. If the candidate is successful in the first interview, they will be advanced to an interview with the Executive Director before the final candidate is selected.
