Fees for Art Therapy & Therapeutic Art Services
At Art Therapy Studio, we are dedicated to providing high-quality art therapy and therapeutic art services in an accessible and sustainable way. Our pricing structure reflects our commitment to equitable access and program sustainability.
Each of our Community Art Therapy and Therapeutic Art group programs costs Art Therapy Studio approximately $700 per participant per 10-week session to operate. Thanks to the generous contributions of our donors, including those contributing to the Christine M. Treu Scholarship Fund, we are able to offset these costs and provide high-quality programs at significantly reduced rates (see below).
We are committed to making our services accessible to everyone in our community. While the reduced rate makes our programs more affordable, we understand that it may still be a financial barrier for some individuals. To ensure equitable access, we offer financial assistance tailored to individual circumstances.
Unfortunately, at this time we are not able to accept insurance to pay for services. We do accept vouchers and 3rd-party payors.

We are changing the way we approach financial assistance and fees to ensure greater equity. While income levels have traditionally been a guiding factor, we recognize that this provides only part of the picture. Family size, debts, expenses, and other obligations significantly impact financial resources. Our updated approach considers these factors holistically, ensuring that individuals who need more support can receive it, while those with greater financial flexibility contribute a more equitable fee. This thoughtful, individualized approach allows us to extend our resources to serve those who truly need them while maintaining the sustainability of our programs.
We understand that financial circumstances vary, and we are committed to making our programs accessible. Financial assistance is offered on a sliding scale based on individual financial needs. If you require financial assistance, you can indicate your interest during the following steps:
-
Completing the New Client Survey sent to you after inquiring about starting services.
-
Discussing your needs with the staff member conducting your New Client Assessment.
-
Calling the office at 216-791-9303 and speaking with the Administrative Operations Coordinator.
-
Stopping by the front desk and discussing with our staff.
Once financial assistance is requested, you will be sent and prompted to complete a Financial Assistance Worksheet. This worksheet will evaluate your financial situation and include proof of income and documentation of extenuating circumstances. We do not rely solely on household income as a guide, recognizing that burdening debt or other factors can impact financial resources. Instead, decisions about financial assistance are made on an individual, case-by-case basis.
To retain financial assistance, participants must adhere to the following:
-
Attendance: Missing more than three unexcused sessions within a 10-week program without prior communication will result in the automatic loss of financial assistance. Participants who lose their financial assistance in this way will not be eligible for assistance in the future.
-
Code of Conduct: Violating Art Therapy Studio’s rules of conduct may result in the termination of financial assistance.
Financial assistance applies to one program per 10-week session and automatically renews unless your circumstances change or you no longer require assistance.
-
Refunds: Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 7 days before the program start date. No refunds are available for cancellations less than 7 days before the start date or for missed sessions.
-
Program Cancellations: If Art Therapy Studio cancels a session, we will make every effort to schedule a makeup session. Programs require a minimum of 4 participants to run. If enrollment minimums are not met, participants will be notified and offered a refund or transfer to another program.
-
Refund Process: Refunds are issued via the original payment method within 24–48 hours of cancellation. We do not offer “Store Credit” for refunds to be applied to future services.
