About the Artist

Marc’s artistic journey began in 1979 after a life-changing accident which led to a nine-month stay in the hospital. During his recovery, he participated in a program called “Therapy Through the Arts,” which sparked his lifelong passion for creating art. Since 1983, Marc has been an active participant in art therapy at the Art Therapy Studio, a space that has deeply influenced both his creative expression and personal growth. As an acrylic painter, Marc is drawn to the medium’s versatility, depth, and fluidity. The texture and vibrancy he can achieve with acrylic paint provides him with a unique sense of relaxation and calm. For Marc, painting is not just a creative outlet, but a form of therapy that helps him center himself and build confidence. He often reflects, “Art makes me appreciate life. I don’t have a lot, but I appreciate what I’ve got.”
