As part of our strategic goals, the Art Therapy Studio offers professional education programs to enhance the understanding of providing art-centered therapy. Workshop participants get hands-on educational experiences that can be used both personally and professionally to encourage new ways of thinking and providing services.

In addition to workshops held at Art Therapy Studio sites, ATS staff members are available to facilitate in-service programs, lectures, and hands-on workshops at other locations throughout the region.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

The Art Therapy Studio team provides professional education programs and workshops. Participants learn about creative arts and techniques to implement a more creative environment for themselves and their clients. Join our email mailing list to be notified of our next training session or contact us for more information.

INTERNSHIPS

We provide a variety of volunteer and internship opportunities specifically for students. Any student interested in an internship or in volunteering with our studio is required to attend one of our information sessions held at our administrative offices at Fairhill Partners in Cleveland.  Please contact our office to learn more.

High School Students

We welcome high school students interested in the field of art therapy and non-profit management. Due to the nature of our programs, high school students do not qualify for internships or programs that include direct client contact. High school students qualify for administrative volunteer opportunities only and are required to attend an information session before beginning service.

Undergraduate Internships

Students enrolled in an undergraduate program with an interest in art therapy are encouraged to apply. Undergraduates qualify for 11-week internships as teaching assistants in our community art classes but do not qualify for internships working with contracted agencies. Due to the high volume of applications, preference will be given to graduate students completing clinical hours.

Graduate Internships

We gladly accept students currently enrolled in a graduate art therapy program. To start the application process, please contact the studio and sign up for the next information session.
