NOW Accepting Applications for the McGraw Fellowship Toward Diversity in the Field of Art Therapy   

Art Therapist Fellowship

Art Therapy Studio, located in Cleveland, OH, is looking for a diverse dynamic individual who is interested in learning from and working with established art therapists in a variety of clinical settings. This year-long fellowship is designed to increase diversity in the field of art therapy by offering early career support and training to attract and retain individuals from underrepresented and marginalized groups.  

 Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide art therapy to assigned sites and groups at the discretion of the Clinical Director 

  • Engage in a rigorous learning plan with job shadowing of seasoned art therapists 

  • Work on various administrative tasks in an office setting 

 Stipend and Benefits

  • 32 hours/week  

  • $600 weekly stipend  

  • Paid Time Off, Life Insurance & Short Term Disability, Health Insurance (50/50 cost share), 401(3)(k) (no matching), and Dental & Vision available at cost 

  • Eligible to be hired as a permanent Full-Time Art Therapist with Art Therapy Studio after one year fellowship.  

  •  Supervision provided to secure post-graduation credentials 

Qualifications

To be eligible for this Fellowship position the applicant needs to be within one to two years of graduation of a master’s level AATA (American Art Therapy Association) approved accredited art therapy program.  

 Preferences Given To

  • Applicants who come from underrepresented populations in the field of art therapy, including individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and cis-gender males 

  • Applicants who are able to receive a recommendation letter from a past employer, professor, or internship supervisor 

  • Applicants who have satisfactorily completed an internship with Art Therapy Studio
